The PSIRA Code of Conduct is governed by the Private Security Industry Regulation Act (Act No. 56 of 2001) in South Africa. This Act provides for the regulation of the private security industry, ensuring that security service providers act lawfully, professionally, and in the public interest.
The Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF) is a retirement fund established specifically for employees in the private security industry in South Africa. It provides financial security to members upon retirement, disability, or death, and also offers withdrawal benefits if a member exits the industry.
The UIF (Unemployment Insurance Fund) is a South African government fund managed by the Department of Employment and Labour. It provides short-term financial relief to workers who are unemployed, unable to work due to maternity, illness, or adoption leave, or to the dependents of a deceased contributor.
COIDA stands for the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (Act No. 130 of 1993), a South African law that provides for compensation to employees who are injured, disabled, or contract diseases due to their work.
